With tensile strength up to 150% higher and tensile modulus 30–60% greater than standard FRP sheets, EcoLamix™ allows for thinner profiles while maintaining structural performance—resulting in approximately 30% weight savings compared to traditional thermoset alternatives.

Thanks to its high glass fiber content and the inherent ductility and higher elongation at break of thermoplastic resin compared to thermoset, EcoLamix™ offers superior impact resistance and energy absorption—even at thinner thicknesses than gel-coat FRP. It is significantly more puncture-resistant (from such like forklift collision) than standard thermoset fiberglass liners, helping to prevent cuts and tears, and thereby minimizing moisture ingress that can lead to thermal degradation and added weight over time.

EcoLamix™ offers high peel strength between skin and core thanks to the integration of an extra non-woven fabric layer on the backside of the sheet, which, when impregnated with adhesive, enhances inter-layer bonding grip. This construction significantly reduces the risk of delamination under extreme mechanical loads and temperature fluctuations, ensuring long-term durability and structural reliability in demanding applications.

EcoLamix™ is engineered with food safety and hygiene in mind. It offers exceptional antibacterial performance (>99% effectiveness) and mildew resistance (Grade 0, indicating no fungal growth), in compliance with ISO 22196:2011. The material has been tested and verified by SGS to meet FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 standards, ensuring low toxicity and ultra-low VOC emissions. Unlike the thermoset composites, EcoLamix™ has zero release of styrene odour. With excellent stain resistance, and a Dyne value below 38, it provides a clean, odour-free, and easy-to-maintain surface - ideal for food-grade and sanitary applications.
